I promise you that I will always provide you the full truth and hold political leaders accountable when they overstep. Here is all the news you missed:

  • Donald Trump has invoked wartime authority under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to arrest and detain Venezuelan migrants over the age of 14 and members of the Tren de Aragua gang. This authority has only been invoked three other times in history including in World War II during the internment of Japanese migrants.

  • Donald Trump has announced large-scale U.S. military strikes currently underway in Yemen, targeting Houthi forces. He issued a direct warning to Iran, urging it to cease its support for the Houthis or face consequences.

"If Iran continues backing the Houthis, the U.S. will hold them accountable—and we won’t be nice about it," Trump stated, signaling a hardline stance amid escalating regional tensions.

  • A new bill introduced in the Minnesota legislature by Senator Eric Lucero and others seeks to classify "Trump Derangement Syndrome" (TDS) as a legitimate mental health disorder. If enacted, the bill could allow TDS to be considered grounds for mental health intervention, potentially leading to inpatient care or long-term treatment similar to other psychiatric disorders.

  • A New Hampshire resident and lawful permanent U.S. resident was reportedly stripped naked, placed in a cold shower, and denied food, water, and medication while in custody at Boston’s Logan Airport, according to a report by New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR). Fabian Schmidt is currently being held by ICE in Rhode Island.

  • A British Columbia woman has been held in U.S. immigration detention for 11 days after attempting to enter the country. The woman was reportedly subjected to harsh conditions, including being handcuffed, confined in a cell without a bed, and kept under constant light exposure. She was also provided minimal food during her detention.

  • Arlington National Cemetery has reportedly removed information highlighting the contributions of prominent Black, Hispanic, and women service members as part of a broader initiative to eliminate references to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

  • The Trump Administration’s State Department has drawn up plans to implement another travel ban, this time targeting 43 countries around the world. The countries have been placed in three separate categories: red, orange, and yellow depending on how severe the travel restrictions are. The travel ban covers the following countries, but has not yet been implemented:

  • Journalists at Voice of America (VOA) were abruptly informed that they have been placed on administrative leave, according to multiple sources within the organization.

  • Donald Trump is shutting down the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH), a federal body that has coordinated efforts across multiple government agencies to address homelessness since 1987.

  • Experts are sounding the alarm over budget cuts to federal agencies responsible for overseeing the safety of U.S. dams, warning that reduced funding and staffing could put public safety at risk, according to a report by ABC News.
