The world is holding its breath tonight. According to the Wall Street Journal, President Donald Trump has approved plans for a potential military strike against Iran. However, the final order remains on hold as the White House awaits a possible diplomatic breakthrough. Donald Trump is currently waiting to see whether or not Iran will abandon its nuclear program.

A high-stakes meeting is currently underway in the White House Situation Room. President Trump, flanked by senior advisors and members of the National Security Council, is weighing the decision that could plunge the Middle East — and potentially the world — into yet another war.
"We're looking for total victory, no nuclear weapon," Trump said earlier today, signaling an unambiguous demand for Iran to fully abandon its nuclear ambitions. Despite the gravity of the situation, the President emphasized: "I have not made a final decision yet."
Tensions have been escalating for months and came to a head this week when Israel launched strikes against Iranian nuclear sites. The UK government, per Financial Times, is now on high alert, bracing for the possibility of a United States strike as soon as tonight.
If Donald Trump does strike Iran, watch for a strike on the Fordow nuclear facility in Iran, which is a main hub for Iran’s nuclear program. Right now, only the United States has the bunker busting bombs necessary to destroy the facility. Israel does not, and according to sources familiar with the matter, Israel has been asking the United States to enter the war and target the nuclear facility.
With military assets already repositioned in the region, the world may be only hours — or even minutes — away from a major escalation. Whether diplomacy can prevail at the eleventh hour remains uncertain.
This is a developing story. Stay with me for continuous updates.
